Shoot to Thrill
Stel, Tom, Zak, Andy, Pete and Jonnie perform a variety of hits from the 90s and 00s and some classics thrown in for good measure. With decades of live experience between them, they play anything from classic rock to modern pop. Every song is a floor filler with a great stage presence from lead singer Johnnie.
Following a stunning headline slot at Fenny Poppers 2018, Joyride are back for 2019. The Milton Keynes based covers band play a mix of Rock and Chick Rock, all served up with a healthy dose of attitude. They play big party tunes with an amazing stage presence and plenty of sass. It will be LOUD but bring your dancing shoes and get ready to have a great time.
Billy Nomad & the Common Army
Billy Nomad is a staple of the Fenny Poppers festival, having played all but one event for the last 12 years. He is an eclectic songwriter with a passion for social commentary and cheap laughs. This year he will be joined once again by his band of musical troubadours ‘The Common Army’ for an extra special collection of songs for you to jump up and dance to. You’ll also find Billy around the site on the day, playing a few more intimate sets for you to sit back, relax and listen to. Altogether expect a lot of fun from Billy Nomad at this years Fenny Poppers Festival. Billy has toured the length & bredth of Britain performing with The Blockheads, The Wurzels, Cassetteboy, Mr B and Elemental.
Cortes and Jackson
Cortes and Jackson are a local songwriting duo who blend piano, guitar and vocal melodies to create their own distinctive sound. Drawing from influences as diverse as funk, jazz and even ragtime, the pair have developed a style which is both intensely rhythmic and theatrical, bringing a fresh twist to modern pop culture. The pair met at university and a few jam sessions later discovered their unique individual playing styles blended perfectly, which created a powerful chemistry. Pianist Elliot, takes his inspiration from a primarily classical and rock background, whilst guitarist Callum’s musical style is more rooted in traditional blues, soul and rock ’n’ roll. Together they are already generating excitement wherever they play. New for 2019, Cortes and Jackson are bringing a full band to the stage for their performance introducing to the band, Emile on bass guitar and Josh on drums.
Childish quicks, social awkwardness and a mutual distain for the status quo, Taylor Smith and their raucous mix of folk, blues, funk and punk bring politically motivated music with heavily cynical overtones. Armed with a guitar and a quick wit, Mitchell Taylor (Aka The poor mans Morrissey) sings songs of triumph over oppression through to despair under depression. Nick Smith brings low end to the band with riff heavy basslines along with a love of fantasy escapism and lime and soda. Dan Smith, the wannabe viking, unleashes his primal fury on the cajon with solid grooves and tasty breaks.
Ronnie, Ross, Simon and Simon are The Reformers. After many years of playing in many different bands, these four local musicians have put together a live act that is destined to stand out from the crowd in 2017. Featuring a diverse set of influences including Spaced Out, Peartree Bridge Family, Joyride, Thin Lizzy, David Bowie, TRex, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Dandy Warhols, Oasis, The Ramones, John Denver, Boy George and ABBA, expect a memorable set with lots of energy and superb musicianship.
Ali In The Jungle
Ali In The Jungle are a four piece indie/alternative rock band from Milton Keynes, with influences like The Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Oasis and nature. They write all our own music and have been playing together for about 7 years.
Blackstone Gone are an electro-Acoustic four-some providing a full-band sound stage without the paraphernalia of a full band set-up. The band play a range of old-to-modern covers (think Beatles to Imagine Dragons) and some original material. The overall sound is typically up-beat, up-tempo music to get people dancing and singing along. Hailing from the Milton Keynes area, the band are relatively seasoned performers and know what it takes to get the party started.

Manny and the Purple Sky
An unwilling nomad, Manny & The Coloured Sky (real name Manny Ademolu) tells the story of growing up with his family, and the struggles they experienced along the way, in the upcoming single, Nothing Much Has Changed. After creating the original demo with chart-topping songwriter Elviin Smith, the track lay dormant for over three years before erupting again with producer RayKills and a cadre of talented singers at Tapeline Studios in Milton Keynes. Collaborating with local talent was key to Manny’s vision, giving a platform to as many artists as possible and helping to put his city on the map. Now settled full-time in Milton Keynes, Manny often calls upon past feelings of exclusion in an environment that doesn’t often understand the worldview of young people in unconventional Circumstances. With his desire to give a voice to those who aren’t heard, he crafts a signature blend of modern soul, incorporating influences ranging from Sampha to William Fitzsimmons. His most notable work to date is featuring on DJ Cameo & Junction 13’s Morning Rain, released through DFTD Records in 2016. At present, Manny & The Coloured Sky is working on his debut EP.
